Three well-known Kapiti musicians will be putting a little post-war-style swank into St Peter’s Hall, Paekakariki. Andrew London, Gilbert Haisman and Judy Grau will present a mix of swing, blues, Kiwiana, originals and a surprise or two.

Andrew London is best known for his two bands Hot Club Sandwich and The Cattlestops, both of which are well-known for their quirky and entertaining style. The Cattlestops were featured throughout the locally-written and filmed hit movie Second Hand Wedding. Judy Grau and Gilbert Haisman perform regularly at popular Wellington music venue The Ruby Lounge and have an album underway.

Gilbert, an accomplished jazz pianist, has led a number of jazz groups, produced numerous shows, and is also well-known as a writer. He has previously performed piano accompaniments to silent films at St Peter’s Hall.

A highlight of the show will be singer Judy Grau’s interpretation of classic songs by artists like Fats Waller, Billie Holiday and Leonard Cohen. Andrew will perform his originals and the show will finish with the trio performing together.

Admission fee includes a free glass of wine, bubbly or juice. BYO and licenced. Tickets available from Paekakari Fruit and Veg Shop.
