Look carefully! Things aren’t always what you think they might be. These bright, quirky, immaculate and thought provoking images are taking a very different look at Genetic Engineering.
Roger has perfectly combined fruits and vegetables in a very real ‘what if’ series of paintings. These acrylic paintings are finely detailed, and in some cases you want to touch the image to ‘feel’ the texture alluded to.
This is typical of Roger, who has also painted native and common birds. Though this may appear ‘easy’, the difficulty lies in reducing them to their very simplest form. Because of this, the artist has to display great skill in the painting of these birds and fruit/veg.
A former advertising agency creative director, Roger now works with the advertising industry and major clients from his own office as a ‘freelancer’.
Roger enjoys challenging the viewer.
