Rainbow Warrior III Fundraising Auction

Rainbow Warrior III cocktail function. Silent auction, live auction, live entertainment, Rainbow Warrior memorabilia. Registration is free as we are celebrating the legacy of the Rainbow Warrior and would love our friends and supporters to join us.

This year we mark the 25th anniversary of the bombing of the Rainbow Warrior. She now rests in Matauri Bay, Northland. In 1989, the Rainbow Warrior II was launched and the phrase "you can't sink a rainbow" was born. At 52 she is now elderly in ship terms and we need to replace her. Greenpeace are embarking on an ambitious and exciting project to build a new Warrior which will carry the proud legacy of her predecessors. Greenpeace Aotearoa New Zealand has committed to raising the $400,000 needed to build the ship's Rapid Response Centre, a critical part of the ships action capability.

All funds raised during this auction will go directly to the Rainbow Warrior III. We have listed items from $20 to $8,000 with something to suit all budgets. Aside from stunning art a morning tea with Lee Donoghue at the set of Shortland Street will go under the hammer as well as wine, gift hampers, luxury accommodation packages, scuba diving the Rainbow Warrior and much more.

Auction items along with the Rainbow Warriors and Remainders exhibition commemorating the 25th anniversary of the bombing will be on view for one day only pre Wednesday 20th October from 9.00am to 8.30pm.
