Shed 2 Ice Buster Triathlon

The Shed 2 Ice Buster Triathlon is the first triathlon for the season. This race is recommended for anyone aged 13 years and over.

Now for some of you the name 'Ice Buster' may put you off but believe me this is an event you do not want to miss. The name comes from the fact that it is the first triathlon so for many it is the first chance they have had to catch up with old friends and race rivals since last summer. So to do that you need something to 'break the ice'. Legend has it that the name came from the fact that Pandora Pond is so cold that you need to actually do something to break the ice layer off. Really! You don't believe that do you?

This year the date you need to circle on your calendar is Sunday 31 October 2010.

This event is special because it is the only HBMSC Triathlon that gives place prizes as well as spot prizes so the prize giving is something to look forward to. Blueseventy Wetsuits are also putting up a new wetsuit as the major spot prize so what more can you ask for?

After the race you can brag for hours to everyone about your amazing achievement for the day. Before you can go into the Shed 2 Bar for the prize giving and to enjoy the company you need to do one of the following races:

28km Avanti Plus Hastings Cycle (4 Laps)
5km Shoe Clinic Run/Walk

• Option 2
300m Blueseventy wetsuit Swim
14km Avanti Plus Hastings Cycle (2 Laps)
3km Shoe Clinic Run/Walk

• Option 3 (secondary schools only)
750m Blueseventy Wetsuit Swim
21km Avanti Plus Hastings Cycle (3 Laps)
5km Shoe Clinic Run/Walk
