Now in its fourth year, the Pacific Dance Fono celebrates Pacific dance forms and practice in Manukau and Aotearoa New Zealand.
Choreographers and dancers from across New Zealand participate in this nationally significant event. The Fono has established itself as a major feature in the New Zealand dance community, supporting the emerging voices of Aotearoa-based Pacific dance practitioners
A public presentation of the three new works developed through the Choreographic Lab Workshop programme will be staged at the Mangere Arts Centre – Ngā Tohu o Uenuku to conclude the Fono.
The Pacific Dance Fono is presented by Pacific Dance New Zealand with presenting partners Manukau City Council and Dance Aotearoa NZ.
As part of the Manukau Festival of Arts 10 and Tempo: NZ Festival of Dance 2010
