This exhibition of contemporary ceramics selected by Hilary Kerrod for Auckland Studio Potters, Auckland's largest ceramic group features the work of over sixty of Auckland's best ceramic artists and potters. There is a wide range of styles of work on display, ranging from raku work to domesticware and through to large sculptural installations.
Another aspect of this large and lively show is the opportunity for the latest graduates from the Otago Polytechnic Diploma of Ceramic Arts programme to display work. The Diploma programme is administered from Dunedin with studio modules taught at the Auckland Studio Potters Centre in Onehunga. This year's graduate, Helen Perrett has a display of recent work. Hilary Kerrod, this year's selector, will also be displaying work and has been asked to award merits.
