Music - art - wine - food.

Summer is on its way so we thought we'd bring a bit of spice to the Sawmill in October with a bit of a South American twist!

Bobby Brazuka is one of Auckland and New Zealand's most sought after and popular DJs. Brazil's Bobby has just recently finished a tour of Europe and will be bringing his trademark sounds to the Leigh Sawmill. You'll find him at any one of Auckland's fave night spots such as PSC, Rakino's, Khuja or La Zeppa on the regular. The cat from Conch Records also on the radio on George FM 6-8pm Sundays and Base FM 4-6pm Wednesdays.

DJ Lucas Datt also hails from Brazil and has been DJing various clubs and bars with his crew, The Tropicalia DJs, who have been bringing the Latin funk and Brazilian beats to Aotearoa. Big electro bossa, baile funk and Latin house are some of the flavours that Datt loves to play to make the dance floor move.

Opensouls MC Bjorn has become a Selaktaz regular, he flat out rocks the mic every time. Bjorn has become part of NZ music culture with Opensouls hits such as Optimist, In Your Hands, Whatever, Angles, Dollars, the list goes on. Performing again with Sawmill resident Zane:Tee, you'll get some prozac for your eardrums with a combination of soul, nu-funk and hip hop.

Jimmy Bones is bringin' the rain to the mill in October with all things hip hop and funk. Jimmy a.k.a. James Keith, always rocks the steel wheels with tight mixing and scratching.

Paul Straka will be mixing things up and adding something a little different with a live bongo drum performance to keep with the South American theme.

VJ SWA + Link Choi are mixing visuals along with live paint artists and firedancers from tradeart.co.nz...

So get out of the city and have a guaranteed great night out of town. Hit the beach, markets, movies, paintball, whatever...
