Come ride on a bus with the Java Dance Company on a character-based dance tour of Dunedin city. On the moving bus dancers propel themselves along the aisles, spill onto the audience and hang from the roof. The Java Dance Company, featuring choreography by Sacha Copland, defy gravity, stall time and get the heart racing.
The route (specially designed for Dunedin) includes stops where the audience disembark to experience short dance works tailored to the bus stop and other novel locations. This sensory ride steals you away from the daily grind. Forget where you’ve been and escape the routine of everyday life.
Physical comedy, pure kinetic energy and outrageous scenarios combine to create a magical mystery tour. This is very intimate dance – the audience is very very close to the performers!
Catch the chance to ride a dancing bus in Dunedin. You won’t believe your eyes. The pick up point will be the Regent Theatre.
