Hungarian virtuoso violinist Szalai has been described as the musical equivalent of a circus tightrope act. Considered the best gypsy violinist in the world this troupe under Szalai’s direction will create a sensation for one night only. Antal Szalai and his supremely talented Gypsy Orchestra will play gypsy music by Brahms and Liszt as well as traditional Hungarian and Spanish folk music.

The Gypsy Orchestra also feature virtuoso soloists, Jeno Farkas on the famous Hungarian Cimbalom, a type of hammered dulcimer, and Laszlo Feher on Tarogato, a clarinet like instrument - as well as on the Hungarian Pan Pipe.

This is a New Zealand first –exotic, passionate, East European and flamboyant.
