A ceramic flight of fantasy of albatross sculpture. A culmination of a year's work by emerging ceramist Jacqui Brown.
'The albatross has adapted and thrived in places that few other animals have, they are iconic and representational of the pioneer spirit of the European settlers that made Aoteora home. They also had a mystical connection to the whalers that explored these waters prior to settlement. Keeping this in mind, I have also been following an autobiographical journey which has led me to reacquaint myself with the sculpture that I came across during my own journeys in Egypt and Italy.''
