Ura Tabu presents an evening of wild, hypnotising, sacred Pacific dance. ‘Siva Aitu’ draws inspiration from Pacific living, environmental disasters, history, geography, colonisation, superstition and
Christianity. The dances of the Aitu’s (spirits) will take you on a journey that begins in Samoa, traversing through emotional and environmental landscapes in search of expansion and expression.
Pacific Dance workshop: In addition to seeing the show in the evening come kick your shoes off,
put on a lavalava and learn to sway the Pacific way! This one hour introduction to Pacific dance will leave you wanting more. Come and experience strong, energetic and sensual movements based on the beats and rhythms of the Pacific.
