Wellington Zinefest is a festival of DIY publishing. The word zine is derived from the word fanzine and is usually applied to small labour-of-love magazines and comics of an oddball nature. Wellington Zinefest is in its 4th year and this year extends its reach to embrace DIY music publishing of CDs, records and tapes. The public can peruse and purchase zines, attend talks and workshops or make a zine page for a collaborative zine on the day.
