What you see today is not just the artistic excellence byut the results of leadership development. It is either an exhibition of photos from Asia, but stories from young people about the connections between New Zealnad and Asia.

We want to thank you, the guests, as this exhibtion is created for you. And we hope you enjoyed the journey as much as we did.

Welcome to the photographic journey of Asia. Welcome to the photographic journey of Young Leaders. Welcome to this documentary of the photographic journey, a milestone of young leadesr in the making.

Tena koutou ki a koutou kua tae ma Nei. Ki te tautoko te kaupapa o tenei wa. Haera Mai, Haere Mai, Haere Mai.

Tena koutou, tena koutou, tena koutou katoa.

32 people, 6 cities in 6 days. Confusion, arguement, miscommunication, ownership, confidence, tiredness and completion.

Thise xhibtion is the result of 32 young leaders from 6 different citie around New Zealand, put together in 6 days. We fought, we argued, we got confused. Finally - this is the result.

The exhibition was not only a journey of discovery into Asia; but a journey of arts appreciation and self reflection. What is a leader, who is a leader, and more importantly how to become a leader.

The exhibition was first curated in Chrischurch by three Young Leaders, Esther Hogenhout, Marcia Jones and James To. The idea is to connect Asia and New Zealand through personal stories; stories that will excite you, stories that will entertain you, and stories that make you want more.

This exhibition has been put together by a group of young leaders from Asia: NZ Foundation. I am very proud to be one of them.

The original exhibition was held in Christchurch to showcase a selection of photographs taken by people from the young leader network. This year we are privileged to bring it to Wellington.

Putting together this exhibition was our challenge during this year's young leader's forum in Wellington and we put a lot of thoughts into this. The launch of this exhibition was very successful with guest speakers attending and dancers from Thailand and Cambodia providing the entertainment.

Come along with your friends and children and experience Asia seen through the eyes of talented photographers.
