Guinness PintMaster 2010 Regional Finals

Goodness Guinness me – who will be the best pourer of Guinness in the country? Bartenders around the country are putting their best pint forward for the 2010 Guinness PintMaster competition.

Regional finals for PintMaster will be held in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Regional winners will then qualify to compete in the National PintMaster final in Auckland on December 8 at The Classic Comedy Club.

So get along to a Guinness PintMaster regional finals near you and show your support. You never know, your local bartender could be the next Guinness PintMaster.

What is PintMaster all about?
The Guinness PintMaster is an annual competition that encourages bartenders to strive for perfection and consumers to recognise the unique skill involved in pouring the perfect pint of Guinness.

What makes a good pint of Guinness?
• A clean Guinness glass with no bubbles sticking to the inside
• An initial pour on a 45 degree angle to about 3/4; full and time allowed for it to settle
• The Pint finished to the top with a beautiful, creamy Guinness head
• The perfect presentation with no spillage
• That rich, distinctive velvety taste of Guinness
