Sandwiches present an end of Uni exams special featuring America's first king of dubstep - 12th Planet.

12th Planet (Smog Records | Los Angeles)

After conquering the world as drum and bass phenomenon Infiltrata, John Dadzie found a new name, a new sound and a new family in SMOG. Now incinerating dance floors under the moniker 12th Planet, he has become the most in demand dj in LA and quickly become America's first King of Dubstep . Like Nibiru, the mysterious orb of the ancients whose handle he shares, 12th Planet flies perpendicular to the system, choosing to rotate on his own orbit with off-axis beats and sets that always deliver.

Born and bred in LA, 12th Planet is a co-founder of the SMOG record label and the host of Dubtroit, a monthly night of dubstep in Orange County that headlines some of the world’s top producers in the genre and pulls in crowds from all over Southern California. His release “Control” featuring fellow SMOG member EMU on Basshead Records was remixed by Skream and became a widely known anthem and spread his name around the known universe. 12th Planet is a powerhouse with a packed tour schedule and a pocket full of tricks ready to lay like bricks on the heads on his loving audiences.

Recently he and Vancouver’s Datsik give audiences a dangerous glimpse into the future of the dubstep sound with the track Texx Mars... Hold tight!
