The Big Day In - a one day expo giving people who work from home in the Titirangi and surrounding areas the chance to showcase their businesses. Free entry to the public. Lots of giveaways, free entertainment and a magic show for children.

We are wanting to create an awareness in the community of our existence as a networking and support group for people who work from home. We believe this to be the first expo of its kind as all the participants taking part run home businesses.

We will be providing a clown to entertain children leaving parents free to enjoy talking with the exhibitors. There will be a free children's magic show at 2pm in which our youngest working from home member, Remy the Great (aged all of 6 years old), will perform a series of magic tricks. Remy is believed to be the youngest working magician in Australasia. He is a fully-fledged member of the North Shore Junior Magic Society, the admitting membership of which requires an act of a certain standard.

Ken Ring is our celebrity guest and will open the Big Day In. Known locally as current longrange weather columnist in local magazine The Titirangi Tatler, Ken runs www.predictweather.com which supplies forecasts to farmers all over the world, not only NZ and Australia but also Ireland, the Middle East, Europe, and South Africa. The author of 3 almanacs per year, for NZ, Australia and Ireland, Ken is also longrange presenter on Australia’s biggest TV network, Channel Seven, where he appears on screen there once per month across 4 states. According to Ken the weather on 20 November will be fine and sunny.

Not your average goodie bags to the first 100 people through the door. A tombola stall will be set up with proceeds raised to support a person in our community striving for excellence. Free refreshments and wonderful live music by Acoustic Candy.
