Rotorua collector Pat De Carteret shares her extensive collection of hat pins.

Originally invented to hold wimples and veils in place, the hat pin reached a pinnacle of popularly in the late Victorian period. Typically around 20cm in length, fear of their use as a weapon by American suffragettes saw them limited by law in 1908. Rotorua collector Pat De Carteret shares her extensive collection.

Entry to the exhibition is included with general admission to the museum. Adult $12.50, Child $5.50, Family (1 adult & 3 children) $17, Family (2 adults & 3 children) $29.
