Groundation - Here I Am Tour

Groundation will be touring NZ for the first time ever for four shows only. Considered the best group in the current international reggae scene, Californian-based Groundation is hitting New Zealands’s shores, touring with highly acclaimed sixth album, Here I Am.

Formed in 1998, Groundation's sound is an organic fusion of classic roots reggae, heavy funk/jazz fusion, and transcendental dub. Their live shows are synonymous with high-energy positive communal vibrations, combining the message and determination of the best reggae music has to offer with perpetually fresh jazz-inspired improvisation. By combining roots classics with originals their shows become a lively celebration where audience and band are one.

National Critics and Independent Press have responded, calling Groundation: “Champions of the true sound”

LA’s Sound Spectrum states: “the lyrics cry to our generation just as Bob Marley did in his… Their future in the world of reggae music is groundbreaking.”

Groundation has shared the stage and recorded with legendary reggae acts such as: Israel Vibration, Black Uhuru, Zap Mama, The Congos, Apple Gabriel and Marcia Higgs.
