The Peninsula Art Auction has established itself as a premier art event showcasing work by some of New Zealand’s finest artists alongside exciting up and coming talent. Proceeds from the Art Auction will benefit the two primary schools in Lyttelton.
Work from artists who are connected with Banks Peninsula, including Neil Dawson, Dean Venrooy, Bill Hammond, Siene de Vries, Lonnie Hutchinson, Mark Whyte, Rebecca Lee, Stephanie Crisp, Helen Taylor, Asher Raawiri Newbery and Michale Dell, will be auctioned. In fact, some of the most prominent artists, Bill Hammond, Neil Dawson, and Dean Venrooy, are donating their work with no reserve.
Art works will be available for viewing and a silent auction all weekend at The Loons Theatre, Canterbury Street, 10:00am to 4:00pm, and will culminate with a live auction at 7:00pm Sunday November 7. Tickets for the live auction evening event are $35 and can be purchased at Ballantynes or either of the two schools.
