If you own a four-wheel-drive vehicle but have never taken it offroad, head along to the NZ4WD Magazine Have a Go Day in the Woodhill Forest northwest of Auckland.
It’s perfect for those who’d love to tackle a forest track or a steep sand hill for the first time under the supervision of 4WD marshals. And it’s free!
NZ4WD Magazine, in conjunction with the Jeep Woodhill 4WD Park, host the Have a Go day on 21 November where a short, safe but challenging course has been laid out in the forest for 4WD owners to try in their own vehicle. The course is easy on the vehicles, but gives drivers a real taste of what 4WDriving is all about!
It’s a fun, family-friendly day, so bring all the kids along for the ride. There’s a specially discounted price if participants want to use the full Jeep Woodhill 4WD adventure park. Or let the whole family, young and old, enjoy the unique thrill of a ride in Hagglund all-terrain vehicle which tackles mud and gravel every bit as well as it normally tackles snow and ice.
- BBQ food and cold drinks on sale
- 4WD accessory and equipment retailers onsite
- Children ride free in the Hagglund Antarctic tracked vehicle ($45 for adults)
- 9am to 3pm with the park open until 5pm
- Woodhill Forest, take the Rimmers Road entrance off Highway 16, just south of Helensville (refer to www.jeep4wdpark.co.nz for full directions and a map.)
Bought to you by NZ4WD magazine, in association with Jeep Woodhill 4WD Adventure Park.
