The Otago Branch Committee of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust is excited to host a coach trip to the Oamaru Victorian Heritage Fete. The trip includes a guided tour of the magnificent NZHPT-owned and maintained Clark's Mill, entry into which is free for all NZHPT members.

Details of the of the coach trip are below. The Committee looks forward to welcoming you on what will be a thoroughly enjoyable day out.

Departs: 9am from The Octagon, Dunedin. Returns approx 5pm. Includes guided tour of Clark's Mill.

A unique day out for all the family to enjoy the splendour of North Otago’s social and industrial Victorian heritage commences with a tour of Clark's Flour Mill. See the inside and experience the mill with its machinery in operation.

Clark’s Mill is New Zealand's only surviving water-powered flourmill with early machinery still substantially intact. Built around 1865 as part of Totara Estate, it is the second oldest flour mill in North Otago. Its machinery provides substantial insights into early industrial processes in New Zealand - here's your chance to take in the noises and drama of flour production.

Oamaru Victorian heritage.

After visiting Clark's Mill, the coach will then travel on to the main event of the day, the Victorian Heritage Fete. Take in the sights and sounds of an authentic Victorian Fete with market stalls, traditional craft demonstrations, penny farthings, competitions, costume display and much, much more.

And so you won’t miss a bargain, ANZ Bank Eftpos will be available on site.

The coach will leave Oamaru at 3.30 pm to have you back at the Octagon at approx 5pm.
