Mary Kisler, Mackelvie Curator of International Art at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, will give a floor talk on her favourite works from the Dunedin Public Art Gallery collection. A highlight of this talk will be her insights into the gallery's newly purchased oil painting by Frances Hodgkins: The Farmer's Daughter (Portrait of Annie Coggan) which will be on show for the first time in Frances Hodgkins: Portraits.
This event will also celebrate the publication Angels & Aristocrats, written by Mary Kisler, which presents the world-class masterpieces held in New Zealand Art Galleries and features many of the Dunedin Public Art Gallery's best loved works.
