Addington Brass has a proud tradition of performing a charity concert each Christmas to support our local community. We are preparing an exciting line up of Christmas music, both traditional arrangements and some old favourites presented in new ways with choir and brass.

Again we are pleased to welcome Hilary Muir as our MC for the evening and as always a world class soloist. For 2010 Addington Brass are proud to present Brett Baker on trombone as our feature soloist.

“Brett Baker is well established as one of the finest trombonists in Europe and has been described as being at the pinnacle of his glittering career. As principal trombone in Black Dyke Band - one of the most famous brass bands in the world - and as a guest soloist who has appeared with many other bands in Europe, America, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, together with his many solo recordings, technical accomplishments and warm personality, Brett's fame and popularity is truly world-wide.”

The Christchurch City Mission is again our charity of choice as they support all members of communities all around Christchurch. Last year we were able to present the City Mission with a cheque for just over $2000. This year we aim to make it more. Tickets from www.ticketek.co.nz or at the door.
