This is Camerata Strings’ final concert for 2010 and it promises to be a terrific finale to the year. The orchestra welcomes back violist Anatoly Zelinsky to perform two works. A blend of the old and the new, the first is Telemann’s gloriously lyrical G major Concerto. This is followed by the premiere of a new work – Shibui – written by the orchestra’s conductor Patrick Shepherd especially for Zelinsky.
The remainder of the programme comprises Arvo Pärt’s Summa, an arrangement of a Purcell Fantasia, Parry’s English Suite and, finally, Boyce’s 4th Symphony.
