The Auckland Aces will kick off their Plunket Shield in Christchurch this week with a side that contains a few new names and that will have the benefit of two frontline BLACKCAPS bowlers.

Aces coach Paul Strang is cautious but optimistic before the first outing of the season.
"We have had a good build up and it was great to get on some grass decks against the Stags last week. I am sure the guys are itching to get out there after what has been an extensive pre-season and hopefully they can put all that hard work to good use."

The side to face the Canterbury Wizards at QEII Park in Christchurch from Tuesday is as follows:

    Kyle Mills
    Andrew de Boorder
    Andre Adams
    Michael Bates
    Brad Cachopa
    Craig Cachopa
    Colin de Grandhomme
    Anaru Kitchen
    Colin Munro
    Jeet Raval
    Bhupinder Singh
    Greg Todd
    Daryl Tuffey
