The Grand Auckland Ball

The Grand Auckland Ball on the 27th November is a Viennese Ball that promises a night of sophistication, romance and wonderful music and dance

This is an inaugural event and the platform for an annual celebration of the Viennese waltz – for Auckland to share with other international cities in re-enacting a piece of the splendour of European heritage through music, dance, and fine champagne.

It offers unique and timeless entertainment whilst providing an exclusive atmosphere for guests to socialise amongst New Zealand’s leading politicians, diplomats and prominent personalities.

In time held tradition Viennese Balls are well attended and enjoyed by the city’s leading citizens and we believe that Auckland will be no exception.

The event is a Black Tie event and will be attended by a number of High Commissioners, Ambassadors and prominent politicians.

The Grand Auckland Ball is a wonderful opportunity to dance to the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra or swing to the Queen City Swing Band. We have a number of other bands including a Latino band and covers bands.

Our opening ceremony (in keeping with all Viennese Ball stretching back hundreds of years) will be spectacular.

Auckland Town Hall has been at the centre of the city’s political and cultural life since its opening, and over the years has hosted countless significant events and figures.Considered to have one of the finest acoustics in the world, this is Auckland’s premier venue for fine music and orchestral performances.

Your evening will commence with a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne and some wonderful food and drink included in the ticket price. We will serve you wine, beer and soft drinks as well as fine food through out the night.
