Gardens for Foodies Tour

Let's get growing! On this tour we visit vegetable gardens both large and small, public and private. We start with a visit to the Meadowbank Primary School garden, which is part of the Garden to Table Trust programme. We then visit a private garden in South Auckland before going to the ARC Botanical Gardens' vegetable patch.

In the afternoon we visit the garden of Adrienne Foote, the gardener partner of chef Peter Chaplin. We finish with a visit to the large Kelmarna Community Garden in Grey Lynn.

Lunch will be at Rock Cafe, run by chef Peter Chaplin who is well-known for his healthy approach to cooking. He has cooked for many celebrities and ran the former Musical Knives vegetarian restaurant in Ponsonby.

A day to inspire and inform!

Transportation, garden visit fees, morning coffee and lunch at Rock Cafe are included.
