Slalom racing is high speed, down wind windsurfer racing. Boards are designed for straightout straight line speed down a zig zag course at speeds in excess of 50-60kph. Freeride boards are based on the slalom board design but modified for easier handling and turning.
This next event is Round 2 of the AWA North Island Cup Series
The Auckland Windsurfing Association's goal is to:
- Provide a collective voice for windsurfers when our playground is at risk
- Organise competitions and events within the Auckland region
- Promote and grow the sport of windsuring within Auckland
