A great event about one of our own heroines. Discover New Zealand's genuine heroine of the Art Deco era.

Esther James lifted the spirit of the nation during the depression by walking-on-her-feet the whole length of it, promoting New Zealand made goods. She would be considered spunky this century, her autobiography reads like a film-in-waiting.
