People in Your Neighbourhood, a British Council New Zealand initiative, involves aspiring artists and performers from New Zealand’s ethnic communities, working with the best of contemporary UK talent, to create an album, and perform a live music show which will take place in Wellington on Saturday 15 May.
The project involves aspiring artists and performers from Auckland and Wellington’s urban ethnic communities, working with the best of contemporary UK talent, to workshop creative methods, and perform a live music show.
People In Your Neighbourhood will feature NZ urban ethnic performers and the Urban Soul Orchestra, narrated by well known lyricist/spoken word artist Charlie Dark. The show brings together music from cultures from around the world.
