Catching the Beat
[The Traveling Film Show]
NZ, 1930 - 2002, Exempt, 70mins.
The Film Archive’s Traveling Film Show, which takes film screenings around the country, now comes ‘home’ at the end of each month to screen programmes for Wellington audiences.
This month, to celebrate NZ Music Month we screen a compilation of short films, music videos and early sound recordings which track kiwi music from the first recordings of Epi Shalfoon and his Melody Boys (1930) to a cowshed song and dance act, Footrot Flat’s ‘Slice of Heaven’ and more. “You are in for a rollicking night’s fun!”
