Three "young" fellas (Jon Callwood, Pete Hancock & Morgan Rothwell), originally all from the north of England playing together since the 80's in one of the original celtic bands on the Wellington scene "Morgan Magan" (6 members). They got back together 4 years ago and formed the trio Sasana, they play at clubs, cafes and bars mainly on the Kapiti coast. They play a range of traditional instruments including Mandola, bozouki, mandolin, banjo, accordion, whistle and guitar (not normally all at the same time!). Their music is borrowed and adapted from traditional and more modern folk music sources, a mixture of English, Scottish and Irish. They all sing, even with a combined age of 190!!
