Acoustic Cafe is a monthy live original music event that happens on Waiheke Island at Nourish Cafe in Ostend.
Claire Bracegirdle is an Auckland performer formerly of Claire and Celeste. Eclectic folk music weaves an eccentric tapestry of songs.
Human Resource is a new Waiheke band that improvises all their music on the spot, in the spirit of the infamous Taos gigs on Waiheke and around New Zealand a few years back.
Founded by former Taos-member Anthony Milas in early 2010, Human Resource takes the concept in a new direction by also improvising the bands line-up from gig to gig, picking from a growing pool of Waiheke and Auckland musicians.
This makes the band flexible and able to create different moods, musical styles and lyrics inspired by the venue, audience and occasion. It also means each performance is unique, and each audience part of something that will never be repeated.
He Said She Said are a local duo comprising of Jerry Moran and Krisse. Punky/Rocky original tunes. They have played a short spot at Acoustic Cafe prior to this and are back to deliver a full spot.
