Tonight's documentary film is about the life and work of the late Hamish Miller, blacksmith, sculptor, dowser and author.
Hamish read engineering at Edinburgh and through his books, talks and workshops his work on earth energies has earned him an international reputation. He co-wrote In Search of the Southern Serpent with his close friend Barry Brailsford. They combined their special talents to create a book that takes readers on a journey into the power of place. The western mind of the pagan, the priest and the scientist encounter the Maori lore of the shamanic mind, they don't collide - instead they gently touch to open doors of many kinds. They take us beyond our five senses.
Robin will be showing parts of an exclusive interview with these two 'wise men' on top of an ancient Iron Age settlement in West Cornwall and a short film of Hamish in his workshop. Robin will also be demonstrating the 'art' of dowsing.
