British Council New Zealand presents People In Your Neighbourhood, a street-wise urban collaboration from contemporary UK talent and emerging New Zealand performers.
Witness PIYN narrator, UK street poet and creative guru Charlie Dark (Attica Blues, Blacktronica) and UK string collective Urban Soul Orchestra (Soul to Soul, Groove Armada and M-People) unite with performers from Auckland’s culturally diverse community. New Zealand producers Andy Morton aka Submariner and TaayNinh (Electric Wire Hustle) add the final spit and polish.
The PIYN collaboration was launched in Auckland and WOMAD in 2009 as part of the British Council’s Creative Cities Programme.

Staged against a palette of blazing autumn colour and the epic volcanic central plateau, the 8th biennial festival is packed with quality national and international entertainment.
