Rod Slater an experienced blue-water cruiser has sailed throughout New Zealand aboard his 30 foot sailboat "Bontekoe"

His love of the sea and yachting are clearly expressed in his crisp dynamic paintings. Sails bent to the wind, waves cleaved by the bow, reflections and ripples stirring the seas of imagination.

These are his inspiration, his palette.
