Li Edelkoort lives in the future. Credited with pioneering trend forecasting as profession back in 1975, she is an internationally renowned forecaster, curator, publisher and educator.

On May 6th, in Auckland, attend sessions on multiple creative genres when Li visits New Zealand for the first time. Her presentations in Australia and New Zealand promise to be provocative, informative and influential.

From innovative installations for the Premiere Vision textile fair to long-ranging lifestyle analysis for the world’s leading brands she is considered one of the most influential people in design.

Studying links between art, fashion, design and consumer culture, Li analyses and advances the concepts, colours and material that will be important two or three years hence, because, ‘there is no creation without advance knowledge, and without design, a product cannot exist’.

Li will be joined on tour by Philip Fimmano. Philip was born in Adelaide and studied fashion design in Florence and New York. In 1991 he moved to Paris to work as assistant and right hand to Li. He is a contributor to Trend Union’s books, magazines and strategic studies and has spoken at seminars and brainstorms for clients in Europe, India, Australia, New Zealand and the United States and also guest-lectures at the Royal College in London, F.I.T. in New York, the American Academy in Paris and Polimoda in Florence.
