The internationally acclaimed champion quartet “Musical Island Boys” will be appearing in the “Harmony Showtime” concert this month. MIB from Wellington gained a NZ title and then went on to win their first international title at the Pan Pacific Competition. They then became the 2006 International Collegiate Champion Quartet at the competitions held in the USA.

MIB has recently returned from an extensive and successful tour of Australia. The proceeds from the “Harmony Showtime” show will assist the quartet to travel to Philadelphia, USA, in July this year to compete in an International competition.

Also appearing is the NZ Young Women in Harmony Under 25 years champion quartet, “Extra Shot”. This quartet competed at the 2009 Rising Star Competition held in Nashville, Tennessee, and gained a very creditable 3rd place medal.

To complete the concert programme of harmony singing we have the Waikato Mens’ Chorus, “Mighty River Harmony” which gained a silver medal at the 2009 NZ National Competition. Also appearing are the “Waikato Rivertones” chorus which won an international title for mid size choruses in San Antonio, Texas, in 2007.
