People in Your Neighbourhood, a British Council New Zealand initiative, involves aspiring artists and performers from New Zealand’s ethnic communities, working with the best of contemporary UK talent, to create an album, and perform a live music show which will take place in Auckland on Saturday 8 May.
The project involves aspiring artists and performers from Auckland and Wellington’s urban ethnic communities, working with the best of contemporary UK talent, to workshop creative methods, and perform a live music show.
People In Your Neighbourhood will feature NZ urban ethnic performers and the Urban Soul Orchestra, narrated by well known lyricist/spoken word artist Charlie Dark. The show brings together music from cultures from around the world
