Straight from sell-out seasons at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival & Adelaide Fringe, one of Australia’s most talked about new comedians, the multi-award winning Felicity Ward, is making her New Zealand comedy debut with her show – Felicity Ward, Textbook Idiot.

Some people cruise through life not having to worry about getting food on their eyebrows, not having to question why their Mother’s name is Trevalyn (true story), and not having to wonder why they still wear a grinding plate to bed at age 29. Felicity does. She’s a Textbook Idiot.

Maybe it’s because she had a pan toilet until she was eleven. Maybe it’s because she had a BETA video player until 1993. Maybe it’s because her mum gave her carob instead of Easter eggs (dirty hippy!). It’s amazing Felicity survived a high school education because God knows she’s graduated from the University of Moron.

Through an hour of standup, storytelling, characters, songs and electrocution-style trivia games, watch this car accident of person let you into her brain.

You may have seen Felicity on C4’sThe Ronnie Johns Half Hour, Comedy Central’s Thank God You’re Here, or on TV2’s The Great Kiwi Christmas Comedy Gala 2009, but this is your chance to see a real life idiot in her natural habitat.

‘She is an irresistible force of nature...a hit of pure comedy amphetamine...She can raise a laugh as easily as she can raise an eyebrow...brilliantly insane, and insanely brilliant.’
Steve Bennett, Chortle.co.uk (April 2009)

‘Warm, witty and brilliant.’ - The Age, April 2009
