Banff Mountain Film Festival 2010

Banff is back! Get your tickets now for Auckland’s one-night-only showing of the world’s finest adrenalin and adventure films (and they’re even better than last year if that’s possible).

Canada’s world-famous Banff Centre only lends its prestigious movies out to some people, and the Alpine Club here in NZ is on that list.

There’s something for everyone on Banff night. From snowboarding in chest deep powder snow in Japan, to ice climbing the most ridiculously big (and cracking) waterfalls in Canada; from edge of your seat solo climbs in Yosemite to the most boundary-pushing kayaking-in-crocodile-infested-waters you’ve ever seen– this show has the lot.

Tickets always sell out fast for Banff as it’s only on for one night. Here’s how to lay your hands on some golden tickets. (Note, no door sales.)

Tickets cost $20 for non members and $15 for members showing cards and are available from Saturday 10 April from: Bivouac and Outdoor Action stores Auckland-wide and New Zealand Alpine Club Auckland section nights; Or by following this sort-of online payment method:

1) Deposit ticket money into this Kiwibank account 38 9006 032992400 referencing your sir name and Banff.
2) Send an email to events@aucklandclimber.org.nz stating number of tickets bought, name and membership number (if you have one).
3) We’ll email you back very quickly and let you know that your tickets have been put on one side for collection on the night.
4) If you don’t hear from us in 3 days, it will simply be that your email has gone off into space, so please text 021 412 001.
