APO 4 Kids

Bring your little ones and join the APO for an hour of musical wonder, as the APO’s hugely popular concerts for preschoolers (and their grown ups) return to the North Shore, Manukau and Auckland City.

This year’s theme is Plane, Trains and Automobiles, so dance, sing, clap and conduct along to popular classical favourites as well as transport-themed tunes such as Thomas the Tank Engine and The Wheels on the Bus.

APO 4 Kids teaches preschoolers about instruments and music in a fun way. Presenter Kevin Keys entertains and encourages interaction while exploring the different sounds and instruments of the orchestra. Your children will have the opportunity to see the Cello, Bassoon, Tuba and Glockenspiel up close during the concert, and even conduct the orchestra as they march musicians during the finale.

It’s the perfect combination of learning and play set to magical orchestral sound.
