Wellington’s oldest home - the Colonial Cottage Museum - is hosting a free Community Open Day on Sunday 21 March from 12noon to 4pm.

Immerse yourself in everyday colonial living with guided tours of the Museum, heritage and garden talks and live music.

Step back in time and witness demonstrations of weaving, tapestry, spinning, embroidery, watch an Edwardian fashion show featuring original and carefully replicated garments from the 1850’s or simply sit back and enjoy light refreshments in the cottage’s beautiful heritage garden.

With free entry this is the perfect chance for you to come along and sample Wellington’s early history.
