Broken Journey
NZ, 2007, Exempt, 52 mins

A visual biography of acclaimed Maori woman writer Jacqueline Cecelia Sturm (Taranaki, Whakatohea) where, at 80 years of age, she reflects on her life and her writing. Directed by Tim Rose who grew up next-door to the Baxter whanau in Wellington, this documentary is screening in honour of Jacqui Sturm who recently passed away.

Preceded by Crossing the Plains (NZ, 1965, Exempt, 18 mins), a short film made by NZBC Dunedin featuring the poems of James K Baxter, Charles Brasch and Janet Frame.
