Alexa Johnson, former curator at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki is the author of the award-winning recipe book 'Lades a Plate.' She has championed old-fashioned Kiwi baking, embellishing her books with social history from community cookbooks. Alexa will discuss the idea that recipes are family treasures - and share her ideas about baking in today's world. She suggests that her audience be prepared for discussion and reminiscences. Alexa's talk is timed to co-incide with Family Treasures wich runs until 18 April 2010.
