New to the market from Pukeko Bakery – Jason Olmstead is making (and Pavlina is selling) bagels – poppy seed, sesame seed and plain bagels. Jason has been baking bread professionally for over 20 years. His profession has taken him to some of the most stunning regions of the world, Le Trou Restaurant (San Francisco), La Baguette (Colorado Springs), La Rochelle (Caen, France) and a variety of placements in Italy. His first role in New Zealand was baking for the syndicates (Prada, Mascalzone Latino, Oracle, Stars and Stripes) at both America’s Cups. His breads are now sold to leading hotels and restaurants in Auckland and Wellington and through our Farmers’ Market.
Come to the market and go into our draw to win a basket of produce – we will send seasonal email flyers with our events and diary dates for your calendar at home.
Music – Rusty Mac (Tony and Dave) pop rock originals and classic covers with 2 guitars and 2 singers.
Bring a friend and hurry along to the market early for the pick of seasonal produce then relax with coffee, hot breakfast food or baked delights, in the ambient surroundings next to the Domain. The market is in the car park behind the brick Jubilee Building, home to the Parnell Library and Parnell Trust.
Free parking for 90 cars during market hours at 47 George Street – these are graciously supplied by our neighbour AECOM, across the street from the George Street market entrance.
Parnell Trust has been working in a community development role since 1982, seeking to create and strengthen social links through shared cultural, recreational and educational activities. As a result we offer a diverse and interesting portfolio of programmes and services.
