2010 Farm Day looks as if it will be bigger, bolder and more exciting than this year's. Farm Day is all about families because farmers feed families, both here and overseas. Agriculture is not just New Zealand’s largest industry, it is by far its most important. Farming gives New Zealand its rugged but innovative sense of being. It’s in our blood.
Yet, as the urban population expands, not everyone these days knows a farmer. That’s why Farm Day is so important.
It puts you in direct contact with the very people who grow and cultivate your food and fibre. No questions are off limits as we want to show that modern farming is open and transparent. We genuinely wish to show what farmers do and how we go about it.
Farming is truly exciting and Federated Farmers is excited about Farm Day 2010.
