Kura Kōrero brings back the tradition of conversation and shared histories. There are two main strands to the Aroha 2010 series – a lunchtime discourse on societal issues and a meet-the-artist series in conjunction with the Kapai Kabaret season.
Lunchtime sessions meet at 12.30pm for one hour – every day from Monday 15 to Friday 19 March – over food and refreshments at Alleluya Café in stunning St Kevins Arcade.
Meet-the-artist sessions start at 6pm – prior to Kapai Kabaret performances, from Saturday 13 to Friday 19 March – and are held in the comfortable upstairs Galatos Lounge.
In a special session, Canterbury University academics Dr. Sharon Mazer and Te Rita Papesch will lead a discussion on Māori Performance ahead of the Gala Premiere of Pō at the Aotea Centre on Friday 12 March.
Kura Kōrero is presented with the support of the Karangahape Road Business Association.
