Ivy saw Sam play at Fleetwaters, and quite liked it. She asked him to play a gig and he said yes. Then she asked Coach to play too, and they said yes as well, so now we're all a big happy family.
Bond Street Bridge is Sam Prebble. He does all the singing and playing and writing and so forth, and the recording also. Bond Street Bridge has an album out called 'The Mapmaker's Art.' It's available from usual outlets and from the Monkey Records website.
Various people have said nice things about it, including Graham Reid over at elsewhere.co.nz. He says it's 'very good indeed,' and rates it as one of the top 40 albums of 2008.
A 3 piece group with a diverse approach, Coach have had their sound coined as a mixture of 'Stoner-Jazz', and 'Dream-Pop', with a healthy serving of 'Blues-based influence' to boot.
Ivy Rossiter mixes a cup of singer-songwriter, a tablespoon of rock, a whiff of shoegaze, a dash of country and a few drops of experimentation together and bakes it in a loop pedal. Coat with sugar or angst to taste.
