The Kingsland Festival

Having held the Kingsland festival for the last three years, we decided to make this one bigger and better than ever before.

We have attained a partial road closure on New North Road from 12-9pm and have organised the Jagermeister bus to set up a stage beside the train station with a range of events all afternoon into the evening. A Kids zone will be set up with such attractions as a bouncy castle, merry-go-round, Mr Whippy, a candy floss stall, and face painting.

Community events from 3pm include, Kingsland’s got talent, a pie eating competition, martial arts demonstration, and a Kapa Haka group performance. From 5.30pm live performers take stage and the extensive line-up includes Nesian Mystik, The Sami Sisters and Josh Leyes.

The street will be alive with the hospitality of the local bars and restaurants, hosting live DJ’s/bands, mariachi and samba bands, belly dancers, blues and reggae bands. Stroll the streets and be entertained by stilt walkers, fire throwers, and many other street performers!

Bring the family and be part of the free fun and frivolity in Kingsland, Saturday March 27th, 3pm till late.

The Kingsland Festival goes well in to the night. A quick rundown of the events:

**Main Stage - Kapa-haka group, Kingsland's got talent and pie eating comp 3-5pm
- Josh Leyes, Erakah, The Sami sisters and Nesian Mystik from 5-9pm

**Eden Panel & Paint Stage - Steppin stones (blues band) and Society Jazzmen 6-9pm

**Street Performers- stilt walkers, fire throwers, comedians, jugglers and contortionists.

**Kids Zone 3-8pm (In car park by Weta Wines), Bouncy castle, candy floss machine, Mr. Whippy and ferris wheel.
